Celebrate with Pouch Mart!!

Good day and welcome - I know I have been absent from the blog lately - but my excuse is a wonderful one! My son was married last weekend in our back yard - so I have been concentrating all of my efforts towards that wonderful event!! I will be posting pictures as I get them - so stay tuned!

On to the important business of the day - I am especially excited to be participating in a special Blog Waltz today!

Several of the Waltzingmouse Stamps Design Team members are using Waltzingmouse Stamps to co-ordinate with their bags from Pouch Mart!!

Pouch Mart is a web store that sells all shapes, colours and sizes of bags - and the folks over at Pouch Mart have generously sent us some of their fabulous bags to work with! Aren't we lucky!!

They are also offering a $25 Pouch Mart gift certificate for one lucky commenter!! And Waltzingmouse Stamps are also offering a free stamp set to one commenter - it's all wonderful!! See all of the exciting prize details at the end of my post!

I received a couple of these cute little Eco-Friendly Mini Totes from Pouch Mart and knew immediately that they were the perfect card size! They are 5" x 5 1/2" and are eco-friendly - that is they are non-harmful to the environment since you certainly wouldn't throw out this sweet bag - it is a re-user - and look at all the pretty colours!

I decided to glamour up my turquoise tote with some lace trim and fringed felt. I used my trusty glue gun - so easy!! (although my fingers now have no fingerprints haha) It is exactly the right size for my card so I am using this bag instead of an envelope when I go to that special birthday party!

As I said earlier in my post, Pouch Mart is offering a $25 Gift Certificate to one lucky commenter and Waltzingmouse Stamps is providing a free stamp set to one commenter!

You have until Sunday, July 29th at 11:59 p.m. to leave a comment. The winner will be announced on Julia's blog on Monday!

Okey Dokie - here are all of the links to the designers who are participating today - leave them a little love and you could be a winner!!

WMS Blog Party!

Hello and welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party! You can find all the details on the WMS blog in this post here!

Our theme this month is The Great Outdoors - think of what inspires you about the outdoors!

I know I love the beautiful sunsets that we get here in Southern Ontario Canada - especially lately with the thunderstorms we have been having - I LOVE thunder storms and sunsets!!

So I decided to make a sunset - I sponged all of my background colours, trying to blend them together as much as possible.

I stamped the birds from Teeny Trees, cut them out and adhered them to the die cut tree. The sentiment I chose to use is from Blessed by You.

A bit of sewing, twine and pearls finished it up!

Thanks for popping around for our Summer Blog Party!!

TS Monday - Christmas in July!

Good morning! We are continuing our challenges this week with the Christmas in July theme on Totally Stampalicious! - with all this heat in Southern Ontario we are trying to kid ourselves into cooler weather lol!

I chose to use a Bugaboo image called Santa Called Stella  - I LOVE Stella!

This old gal was coloured with my copic markers and even received some stitching and die cut buttons for fun!

I did up a simple design for inside the card as well. This is such a fun stamp and sentiment set - you will love it!!

Can you join us for the challenge?!!

Christmas in July Bugaboo Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Christmas in July Bugaboo Blog Hop!!
If you are just popping in - Hello! and welcome to my blog.
If you have arrived here from Melissa Sackman's blog, you are on the right track, but if you didn't, head over to Artist and Owner - Jodie Mackrell, to start from the beginning -you don't want to miss a Bugaboo delight!

You have a chance to win on EVERY BLOG and all you need to do is leave a comment!

If you happen to get lost along the way, you can head on over to the Catch the Bug Blog for a complete list of the Hop!

For my card, I chose to use the cute digi image called Little Penguin Winter - reindeer! Isn't he the sweetest?!

After printing him off, I heat set the image with my heat gun and then coloured him up with copic markers. I used my gold Spica glitter pen for the bells although it is hard to see the shine -dang it!

I cut him out with my Circle Stax and then sewed around the edge for fun!

I added some Zva bling to his antler's so he could show off a bit :)

Now it is time for you to head over to Paul Ford's blog - I just know he has some fabulous Bugaboo goodness for you!!

The Bugaboo Christmas in July celebration continues all week with challenges and prizes, so if you like to win (and who doesn't?) check out the Catch the Bug Blog for more information!!

Ribbons and Bows oh my!!

Good morning!

Today the Totally Stampalicious challenge is to use Ribbons and Bows on your project!

I did something a little different with my image, Ballerina Brat from Bugaboo.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink and then stamped her again onto hot pink cardstock. I cut out only her tutu and bow from the hot pink cardstock and adhered it to my image.

I chose to accent it with my beautiful hot pink ribbon and bow! I cut out the bangs on her hair and popped them up for dimension!!

Just something a little different but I love the look!

For the inside of my card I added one of the cute sentiments included in this set!

Won't you join us? it's a great challenge!

It's a Good Day!

Welcome to our last day of releases!! The Waltzingmouse Stamps store has the new sets up NOW, so you can pop over and fill up your carts with these fabby stamps the design team has been showing you this week!

And welcome to our Blog Waltz! If you just popped in - hello! you may want to go to the beginning of the Waltz, Claire's blog, so you don't miss a thing!

There will be a prize of a stamp set of your choice from a random drawing from comments left on all the designer's blogs, so remember to leave a comment so you are in the running-- woot woot!! You have until July 4th at 7 am eastern to comment!!

On with the show!

I am a Canadian and July 1st is Canada Day so I was thrilled when I received Playful Pinwheels - what a fabulous stamp set to use for Canada Day!!

I did my card all up in red and white for the celebration!

Playful Pinwheels is a big set with so many little pinwheels and a large pinwheel, as I have used, that has lots of way to decorate it. I love having a Pinwheel stamp so that I can send a flat pinwheel card!!

The Spellbinders flower pot was stamped with one of our backgrounders and then I edged it in white ink as well as the card base!

Lots of popping up around here today!

And what about that sentiment - I LOVE it!

I won't keep you long as I know you are ready to spin on to the next blog and that is Sandie!
