Waltzingmouse Stamps July Preview Day Two!

Welcome to Day Two of Waltzingmouse Stamps pre-release previews!

Today we have another mini set - but just as fun - for your pleasure called North Shore! It is kind of a masculine set but I decided to make it more feminine using the colours I just LOVE!

I stitched my background papers (Teresa Collins Spring Fling paper pack) onto white cardstock with kraft thread so it would pull everything together - love the Hawaiian Shores ink on kraft cardstock!

I left a border of white cardstock so that I could stamp my sentiment and swirly doo - the wonderful thing about photo-polymer stamps is that they can be manipulated - which I have done with the sentiment by making it curve before I inked it up!

Take a surf around to the other designer's blogs today - I KNOW they have some fabulous creations for you today as well!

Waltzingmoue Stamps July Preview Day One

Good day and welcome to Waltzingmouse Stamps July pre-release previews!!

This is Day One and today the design team is highlighting a mini-set (3 x 4) that is an add-on to our beloved Half-Pint Heroines .

It is called Heroines Fairy Princess!!

I began by stamping the lace background from Faux Fun onto my patterned paper with white craft ink. When it was dry, I stamped the body from the princess onto my pattern, cut it out and glued it onto the the body.

I did go over the dress with a copic marker which really made the lace pattern pop!- after all a princess deserves a pretty dress!

Using clear Smooch glitter, I painted her wings and then took my gold Spica pen and coloured her crown, the frog's crown and the wand.

I popped up the two frogs and gave them each a sentiment of their own!

Take a waltz around to the other Designer's blogs to see what they have done with this cute new set and join me tomorrow for more previews!

Red, White and ??

Good Monday Morning!!

Over at the Totally Stampalicious blog we are celebrating Canada Day - so our challenge to you this Monday is to create something with Red and White and one other colour!!

Of course since I had my new Teresa Collins Spring Fling paper pad I had to use Aqua - I love these colours together!

I inked up Clyde Bugs with his cute little lady bugs, coloured him with my copic markers and popped him up in the center of my patterned paper circle!

I added the word "hey!", some grass and clouds because I know Clyde would love red grass haha!

Inside I used one of the cute sentiments included with this stamp.

I thought this was Totally Stampalicious cute!!

Happy Retirement!

Yesterday's Inspiration Challenge was from a sweet little shop right up my alley!! It is called My Sweet Muffin and has tons of funky little items for your (and mine) shopping pleasure!

I chose to use this little guy for my inspiration

and brought out the My Favorite Things "Mouse in the House - Do Not Disturb" stamp and used it for a retirement card!

I used the Dienamics Monarch Border to trim under the ribbon and the Dienamics First Place Award Ribbon Die for the sentiment.

My papers are a new 6 x 6 paper pad called Buttercup from Lily Bee Designs that I purchased at Taylored Expressions!

Wow - what a busy summer we are having!! Our son is getting married in our backyard on July 21st so that has been my main focus lately - I have always told my children that I would never host a wedding -- haha!! but strangely I am really looking forward to getting my yard in shape - lots of things to do and lots of fun!

Welcome Teenagers!

Good Morning and it's time for another Totally Stampalicious challenge

This week we are focusing on our teenagers! They are always appreciated for their "never a dull moment" attitude - and so we celebrate! Just make a card that your teenager would love!

I am using a new stamp from our June release called Girlz Rock - a cute set with all those funky sayings that your teen loves!

I stamped this sweet little missy onto Copic XPress Cardstock and coloured her with copics, adding little pearl earrings for fun!

The patterned paper is so feminine which I love! and is from the 6 x 6 paper pad called Spring Fling, from the Teresa Collins line.

This card is popped up immensely and here is the proof!!

I decided to add another sentiment on the inside of the card - WTG (way to go!)

Won't you join us at Totally Stampalicious for this fun challenge!?

Get in Shape!!

It's Monday and that means another Totally Stampalicious challenge!!

This week we are challenging you to "Get in Shape" - and that means you need  to make a card that is any shape except a square or a rectange - so easy to do!!

Here is my Shaped Card!! - the inside is at the end of this post - another funny one!

This lady is called "Morning Margaret" and she comes with this image plus three funny sentiments!!

I cut her out with the Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large and before I removed the oval, I sponged with blue and green ink to create the look you see here.

My card base is die cut with Spellbinders Grand Labels Four - I used my Grand Calibur to cut out the die - it is so easy!

The inside was just as easy - another die cut with the Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large and the Grand Labels Four.

A couple of flowers, buttons and some fabulous twine and I was done!!

Won't you join us for our "Get in Shape" Challenge!!

Miss You WMSC101

It's time for another Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch Challenge!! Woohoo! I am loving these sketches - they open your creativity to higher levels for sure!!

Make sure you take a look at the Sketch Challenge blog to see if you were a winner in our 100th Sketch challenge! There were so many beautiful, beautiful entries and it was definitely a difficult job to pick winners - I think you are all winners for even participating - good for you all!!

Here is this week's sketch!

and my interpretation:

I decided to ink up my Beautiful Blooms - Chrysanthemums stamp set since it hadn't seen ink in awhile.

My background is from French Country- which includes two beautiful backgrounds, not to mention several other images and sentiments! I stamped it in Vintage Cream onto Wisteria Cardstock.

The mum was stamped in Harvest Gold and then "overstamped" with another smaller mum in Classic Kraft with a few little blingies added to good measure!

Simply Chartreuse was used for the leaves and then that beautiful butterfly is from Spellbinders Grand Shapeabilities - a gorgeous set of several butterflies!

The sentiment is from Compact Sentiments - Part Two - a fun set with a gorgeous font! It was stamped with Wisteria.

Wow! If you were here before - sorry about that - my blog was published before I was even finished writing it - weird!!

Anyway - have a great day!

Totally Stampilicious!!

Woohoo! I am happy to announce that I have been asked to join the Totally Stampalicious Design Team!!

Mondays start the beginning of a new challenge from Totally Stampalicious and this week we are challenging you to "Get Your Giggle On!" Make a funny card - so easy with these stamps - they are hilarious!!

I loved this gal the moment I set eyes on her - Pregnant JJ!! What a hoot!

I coloured JJ up with my copic markers and designed my card around her with a bit of sewing with my fabulous Janome Mini Sewing machine!!

The sentiment is part of the Pregnant JJ set which has 4 sentiments total - and a couple that center around chocolate - LOVE it!

The base of my card was embossed with the Crafts Too Hearts embossing folder and then I "swept"  around the edge of the kraft cardstock with white ink!

Take a look at what the other designers have made - I don't have the full list of designers on my blog sidebar yet, but you can see them on the blog!! wahoo!

Our 100th Sketch WMS!!

We have lots of fun things happening for this special event so make sure you check out all the fun info on the challenge blog! There are prizes and a chance to be a Guest Mischief Maker.... wahoo!!

Here is our 100th sketch!

and here is the card I came up with:

I used the "Eat Cake" stamp set in purple - I have really been liking purple lately - and of course a bit of turquoise thrown in for absolute good measure!

I stamped one of the banners from "Bitty Banners" to make the scallops and trimmed around it to make a border - I love it!

Sure hope you can join us for the sketch challenge this week - the more people we have the better chance at winning a prize - and that is always good!!
