Waltzingmouse Stamps Release Day Three!

Good day and welcome to Day Three of the release peeks!

Day One was "Way Out West" and "Back in the Saddle"
Day Two was "Vintage Labels Eighteen"

and Day Three is "Vintage Banners" and "Bitty Banners"!!

I chose to use Bitty Banners on my card today - in a little sort of different fashion as you can see!

I used them as ice cream cones!!! Claire had mentioned that in one of her messages to us and so I ran with it!

I just cut out  1" circles with my punch and ran them through my Cuttlebug folder. I inked up the "chocolate" ice cream with Fresh Snow ink - I think it looks a little frosty don't you?!

The cones are the Bitty Banners of course and I added a bit of Zva Bling to the cones and down the side of the sentiment. The sentiment, running down the side of the card, is from Half Pint Heroes

The background is stamped onto October Afternoon paper and Aqua mist cardstock. The image is from Victorian Fripperie.

This is going to go into Heather Pulverenti's Totally Hues Challenge - my colours are perfect!!

Come on back tomorrow at 2 pm when we will have our release blog hop and there are prizes to be won! yee haw! :)

Please take a ride around to the rest of our design team to see the loveliness that they have created - and you know they have!

Waltzingmouse March Release Peeks - Day Two!!

I am so grateful for all the wonderful comments you left yesterday! Aren't sneak peeks just a wonderful time of the month??!!

Today we are showcasing a new set - and you knew it was bound to happen sooner or later - a NEW Spellbinders friendly stamp set!!!

This set is called Vintage Labels 18 and it coincides wonderfully with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen nestabilities dies!!

I stamped the Label twice, once with Tim Holtz Pine Needles distress ink and then again with Versamark.

Using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distressed embossing powder, I embossed the Versamark image. Once the powder was dry, I wiped away the crystals to reveal a worn, aged look - just wonderfully western lol!

I cut out the square and popped it onto the Pine Needles stamped label. Then I added the image which was stamped with Walnut Stain distress ink, cut out with my round circle punch, sponged with vintage inks and popped up onto the label!

My patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket "Wanted" designer paper - a perfect match for these stamps!

I am also entering this into the CCEE Stampers challenge which is to distress your card somewhere - using a tool or inks!! Naturally I used inks!

Now run along you little varmints - lol!- to the rest of the design team members to see their beautiful samples!!

Waltzingmouse March Release Peeks - Day One!!

Oh this feels like heaven to be back in the saddle again lol!  Welcome, welcome faithful bloggers, from the bottom of my heart, to our first release this year!

The whole Waltzingmouse Stamps Design Team has been chompin' at the bit to preview, and so to start off and just to be different, we will all be stamping with the same stamp sets each day for the next three days -until all five (that's right - five!) stamp sets have been shown!!  but only to keep you in suspense a little longer....*dastardly grin*......

These new stamp sets will be released on March 1st - so sit back and relax with your coffee or tea for the next few days and get ready to be amazed!!

Today we are all previewing two sets -  "Back in the Saddle" and "Way out West"! I have fallen in love with these sets and have many samples to show you over the next few days and beyond!

For my card today, I stamped the one of the backgrounders, which is from "Way Out West," on an angle with different colour distress inks.

We used to have an old "Indian" blanket in our basement, and we would curl up under it to keep nice and cozy while we watched television. I loved the warmth and feel of it.

To convey that warmth, I diecut a piece of felt and tied a button to each end and around the card.  Then I adhered the image from "Back in the Saddle" to the felt and stamped the sentiment in the bottom corner!

I sponged around the image and the cardbase with distress inks to make it seem even warmer.

Here are the members of the design team who are participating today! Our precious Lisa has resigned her post as designer and fabulous DT coordinator, and we miss her, but we have a new member of our design team and that is Sarah Martina - I know you will give her a wonderful welcome!!

Take a look at their wonderful peeks with this fascinating stamp set!

Can I ignore you later??

This is how I feel lately - not blogging, but still keeping busy stamping and playing with my new stamps - love them all!!

Today is the Paper Romance Challenge and Judy has offered up her challenge this week - and the challenge is........ ANYTHING GOES!!!

Won't you join us on the blog and try to win a prize? Check out all the deets here!

I decided to use High Hopes Sleepy Bear this week. I paper pieced his little jammies and coloured his hat, slipper and mug with copics.

I was using my Cosmo Cricket "WANTED" 6 x 6 paper pad for another project. so I grabbed some more - because I love these colours!

The Martha Stewart fence punch was used on kraft cardstock and then highlighted with Tim Holtz distress ink - Walnut Stain.

I used part of a Zva Creative Pearls swirl for the steam in the coffee and to highlight the sentiment.  I love these swirls because they are quite easy to snip and use whatever piece you want, wherever you want!

Stamps: High Hopes Sleepy Bear, Sentiment My Favorite Things
Ink: Walnut Stain by Tim Holtz Distress Inks
Cardstock: Kraft, Aqua Mist
Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket Wanted

100% My Hero!

Good Day and welcome to our weekly Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch Challenge!! Check out the challenge - you could win a WMS stamp set of your choice by random draw!

Here is this week's fabby sketch and my take on it!

I can never follow a sketch directly - but it's okay if you can tell that I used the sketch as a starting off point - it's all an interpretation right? RIGHT??!!

I am completely having  brain freeze right now, and I can't for the life of me think of the name of this patterned paper - UGH!

But I do know I used the numbers and percent sign from the gorgeous set - Victorian Alphabet. The sentiment is from one of my favorite sets - Half Pint Heroes and the bottom of the card was stamped with a background stamp from Pic-Nic Patterns!

We went out for supper tonight to The Limbo Lounge in Sarnia - If you are ever in Sarnia, Ontario I highly recommend it - take some $$$ because it isn't cheap - but it is delicious - a Martini Bar at that.......I am not a Martini drinker - but I did have one to see what they were all about - haha! and I liked it!

Bunny Blooms...

Good morning!

This is my second post of the day - if you would like to visit the Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz, please click this link.

Today is another Paper Romance challenge! This week we were challenged to include Ribbons, Buttons and Lace on our cards......perfect and pretty sounding don't you think?

We would love to have you join us - there is a gift certificate involved! Take a look at the other designer's take on this challenge and join us won't you?

I used Bunny Blooms - from High Hopes, easy to colour and easy card to put together!

My ribbon is white grosgrain, the button is actually an embellishment grouping from Little Yellow Bicycle and the pink paper lace (barely visible) is also from Little Yellow Bicycle as is the designer paper.

A bit of stitching from my funky little sewing machine and it's good to go!

I am also entering this in the

Moxie Fab - Stamping with Markers Technique!

Forgotten Scraps Challenge - to use flowers or Spring!

Craft Your Passion Challenge which is to use pink!

Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz!

Good day! It's time for another Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz!!  This months theme is BUTTONS!!

AND the design team has some secret clues for you - so make sure you tally them up and leave them in the WMS play room!!

I played it very safe this month, since my mojo has wandered off somewhere - it may need a shock collar like my poor puppy who always comes home covered with burrs or spurs or something nasty like that!!!!

Anyway....... I used buttons on flowers - a time honoured tradition I would say haha......

I stamped the little stems and flowers from Pic-nic Patterns in Enchanted Evening and Melon Berry. The sentiment and the little doo-dad design are from Fancy Phrases.

The circle is stamped in Melon Berry, punched out and popped up and then the buttons were threaded with blue twine.  The circle stamp is from Faux Fun Circles.

I punched out the bottom of the panel with a Martha Stewart Lace punch - it is quite tough to punch on that deliciously thick cardstock, but my muscles proved too much for Martha HEE!

My patterned paper is from Basic Grey Hopscotch and I did a bit of sewing around the edges with my funky sewing maching - love it!

A ribbon, a sweet little stick pin and then the cute little topper brad thing finished it off. The blue topper thingy is from Close to My Heart - I bought them at a stamping party years ago!  They are really sweet and come in all different shapes and sizes.....or at least they did!

Thanks for coming around - I'm off to view the rest of the waltzers!!

Valentine Catch Up!

Good morning!

This is the Valentine that I made for a class my daughter Marcie and I taught last Wednesday night.

I LOVE red and white and pink together!

I used totally Papertrey on this card, except for the heart punch and swiss dot embossing folder of course. I feel like I am ignoring everything PTI lately and I have tons of their stamps so I need to start using them!

Off to work on my Waltzingmouse Waltz for tomorrow!! Don't forget that the theme is buttons this month - you are most welcome to play!!  Check out the the little blog thingy on the side of my blog to find out how to play!

Take Time....

It's another Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge and we have a new take on the sketches!! We always pick the top three mice, but now, a random draw will determine who wins a stamp set of their choice!! yeehaw!!

I also followed along with the SCS Inspiration challenge today - what a fabulous web site!

I was totally inspired by the last photo on this page of the Santa Barbara Chic Blog - the colours are completely luscious!!

I stamped my image from Afternoon Tea Sentiments and coloured it with copics. Then I cut it out and popped it up onto an oval Nestabilities diecut. I added a bit of bling to the middle of the pansies and to the button at the beginning of the sentiment.....

For the sentiment, from Sewing Box Hugs, I maneuvered it so it was all hilly, and then stamped it - a wonderful "trick" you can perform with photopolymer stamps!!

The designer paper is Cosmo Cricket Material Girl - one I haven't used for awhile but has gorgeous colours - I did a little sewing around the edges - a bit of straight and some zig zag - kind of hard to see -  my sewing machine had beige thread - and I was a little too lazy to change the thread oops.........

Take a look at the Waltzingmouse Sketch and try it out - you could win!

Best Friends Forever

It's time for another Paper Romance Challenge!! This week we were challenged to make a Clean and Simple Valentine's card - well I sort of forgot about the valentine part - but this card could go to your BFF on Valentine's so it sort of counts!!

We would love for you to join us!! Just ink up a Valentine's card using a High Hopes, Kraftin Kimmie, Bildmalarna, Unity Stamps, Popcorn Bear, Cute Companion or Your Next Stamp stamps.  These are the stamps that Amy carries in the store at Paper Romance!

My card uses the Open "BFF" saying for my challenge creation. Pretty clean and simple- not my favorite card by far....it needs something but clean and simple it will stay!

Thanks for coming my way today! I'm off to the library for story hour........

I'm also entering this is the following challenges:

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Celebrations!

Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 4th Anniversary - can it have gone so fast??!!

They are holding a bunch of fun challenges this week!  Today’s challenge is to make a project using the 4th Anniversary Tags that you can download for free from any of the designers websites! or on Nichole Heady's blog here.

I chose to use Dawn McVey's tag and Nichole's tag for my cards today! I fell in love with Dawn's colours on her card here, so I had to use them for myself! I also used the Banner Borders die, layered up, to use as my borders.

Then I used Nichole's Tag for another card - pretty similar!

Thanks for looking and you really should download these tags - they are easy to use - it just takes a 1 3/4" punch and you're on your way!!

WMS Sketch Challenge.... to the moon!!

Good Day and I am late with my Waltzingmouse sketch challenge card -go figure!

What a fun sketch this week! Check all the details here - you know there is an awesome prize to be won. Waltzingmouse stamp set Sweethearts - in honor of Valentines Day, is the prize this week!!

So here is the awesome sketch #33

and here is my interpretation, using the Half-Pint Heroes stamp set.....

I used Basic Grey Wander designer paper and then my copics to colour the little rocket ship.

Using the Quickutz large dots die, I embossed the red panel and then swiped over it with Fresh Snow ink - I think it looks like a little solar system!

Add some Stamping Up punched stars and a bit of bling and you have a sweet little masculine birthday card!

Did you know that Waltzingmouse Stamps is planning for another release!!?? We are so excited and are shooting for the end of February - I am thrilled - you will love them!!

You're a Doll!

Good day to you!  Today Paper Romance Challenge day - yippee!

These challenges are good for me, as they stretch my mind - sometimes a good thing! - This week's challenge is a lovey dovey one - it is a colour challenge - Red, Cream and Gold. We would love for you to play along - you don't have to use Paper Romance stamps but if you have them why not?

Check out the Paper Romance Blog for all the easy peasy details!!

ETA: There is a BIG SALE going on at Paper Romance - Check out the sale at the shop!

So today I decided to use a High Hopes Stamps called Tutu Sweet - but I didn't colour it - shame on me!

Instead I stamped her with Versamark on Vintage Cream cardstock and embossed her with gold embossing powder!

I punched some heart edges with my Martha Stewart punch, added some ribbon and a sentiment and voila!! Isn't she a cutie -even without colouring her!

Thanks for the visit today!  Anybody else just OVER this snow - getting pretty tired of storm after storm - but then again --lots of stamping time!!
